I'm not talking about siphoning. I'm speculating that it could be letting city water trickle through. With a trickle, it won't bring any chemical with it, which would water down the tank.

Maybe a hydrominder letting water slowly leak through, watering down the mixture in the tank. It would have less effect on busier days, which could explain why it's sporadic.

I used a hose similar to that years ago. I didn’t like it. Abrasion resistance wasn’t very good. It was hard to put the fitting on without twisting the hose. When it failed from age and general wear and tear, it was futile to splice it, because it would just fail in another spot quickly afterward.

If it's the hose in the bay, I wouldn't use any 3/8" hose. It has over twice the volume of a 1/4", which is going to greatly increase changeover times.

As far as parts are concerned, I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't one for the 500. The 700 has some extra parts that the 500 doesn't, but the only different parts I can think of would be the PLC and the wheel speed inverter.

I've dealt with this several times. Even on the exact machine you have. I just drilled right into the key slot and within a few seconds the bit caught and the lock opened. I think I used a 5/16 or maybe 3/8 bit. It took me longer to type this post.

3/8 has no business being a bay hose.
