    Have you tried talking dirty to it....LOL 🤣 otherwise the very hot water/air idea has always worked with those fittings.

    I always use a Flare fitting on any component that I might have to replace or disconnect at sometime. Like on your air regulators...

    I've always just used a little soap on the barb and never had a problem

    I use a water based pipe lubricant. Really helps a lot.

    I soak the hose end in very hot water before I try to slip it on the fittings, never had a problem getting them on.
