We have run into this issue with a number of different properties we wanted to purchase to build a car wash. It seems as though lots of shopping centers that have open pads for sale have a land restriction on car washes. It is very frustrating!
We currently charge $1 for vacuums. I have contacted a number of different vacuum companies for estimates to switch to a central vac system with canopy booms and the prices have ranged on the low end of $60,000 to the high end of $90,000.
We charge $1.00 for vac use currently. We are in the process of getting pricing for converting all 10 individual vacs over to central vac style. Will respond back with pricing and which direction we go.....
JMMUSTANG, so did you convert from individual vac producers to a central vac style? If so, which brand did you go with? Did it increase foot traffic at your site? Do you regret it now? We are thinking about doing this here at our wash......
We train our preppers to select the wrap retract button when they see a trailer hitch and the wraps clean the entire car but just bump out for the back. There are times when the prepper has not selected the wrap retract but our wraps just bump over the trailer hitch and seem to be fine.
Jerry, since free vacs has proven to be beneficial for your wash, have you thought about switching to a central vac system? Are your monorail vacs on a canopy boom? We have 10 similar vacs here at our site. We priced out a central vac system with the canopy booms and total cost wash just shy...
We are thinking about updating/renovating our existing self serve vacuums. We are currently using JE Adams individual vacuums. We offer a free vacuum token to customers who purchase a wash but everyone else who comes to use the vacs has to pay. We are thinking about purchasing the vacuum...
I am interested in this topic as well. Anyone using or have used the Kleen Rite Ultra Concentrates Drying Agents (Deep Blue Foaming Sealant or Just Peachy Beading Sealant)?
I verified that I do not have auto pulse enabled on the TMJ. We are using a Sonnys Hydrapulse timer and have been using this type of pulse switch for the last 10+ years. We had never had this type of issue but recently re-calculated our pulse length and updated some wash settings (min car...
I am having a similar issue with my ICS TMJ and the timing of outputs. When we send 1 car through the tunnel, all outputs fire at the correct time. When we are busy and send cars back to back, starting about 50% of the way down the tunnel, outputs begin to fire too early and turn off too soon...
Teebox, why do you have to make manual adjustments when you speed up the conveyor? Does the Sr. work differently then the Jr.? To my understanding with the Jr. if the pulse length is calculated correctly, the TMJ should self adjust when you speed up or slow down the conveyor and all outputs...
