    LaserWash 360+ vs RazorWash Edge

There is also the visual perception of the customer to consider. Some people will be hesitant to completely enter the bay, even if prompted with the signal light. If the car exiting under the blowers is moving very slowly, they will be uncomfortable with distance. Others won’t have any...

    LaserWash 360+ vs RazorWash Edge

What if you go outside of the building with the dryers - even a few feet out, or whatever you would need to get the next car to enter.

    LaserWash 360+ vs RazorWash Edge

That’s your call - I just think for the sake of throughput and cph, I would want off board drying no matter what I bought.

    LaserWash 360+ vs RazorWash Edge

Why would you need onboard dryers with the 360? Don’t they have an option to use drive through? That alone would be a big factor in my decision, not to mention many other considerations.

    Did not know that.

    Mod Wash Express Tunnels

There is an exterior express chain in my region that is building a wash literally a few hundred yards away from another existing tunnel. The chain approached the owner of the existing wash and asked if he would sell - he said no and they broke ground next to him.

I have two touchless car wash machines need to be installed at Georgia as quickly as possible

I think it’s funny how the whole thread was initiated to get these machines in ASAP and as fast as possible and we are discussing it four years later, not knowing if anyone ever installed them.

Mounting air shamee on the roof?

I do not have dryers in my bays, but I’m also guessing that with a greater increase in hose length (like you would get with a roof mount), you loose some velocity coming out of the nozzle.

    PreSoak streaking

I know a lot of operators have a dryer timer (not that it always helps) but has anyone seen an undercarriage timer for driving in? I see more people run out of undercarriage time than dryer time.

    Small Town IBA Startup!?

And the big X - Factor. Will there be an express exterior or two close enough (and that might not even mean the same town as you) to take a major bite out of your wash. I know EE’s generally don’t build in a population of 3000, but they do build in areas that have a cumulative larger...

    Motor city wash works wraps

Driver side - counter clockwise if you looked down at it from the top. Passenger side clockwise if you looked down at it from the top. They should spin in the direction of vehicle travel - like they are rolling the vehicle through the brushes.

    Motor city wash works wraps

I know nothing about MCWW equipment. Do they offer a flexible shaft coupling for their wraps? I don’t think I would get a set of wraps without a flexible coupling.

Best rollover wash for 13’ bay width tunnel?

Watch the bay width. I’ve seen installations of various machines where the side brushes make contact with the walls when they are spinning. I would never want this - it will just give you early brush wear and tear. It’s also not going to be as effective on the car because it will be knocking...

    Downside to Ceramic

Oh I know you were! Ceramics are great - it’s like the customers that use those quick detail sprays on their cars or keep them regularly waxed- it helps us out.

    Downside to Ceramic

And the upside to ceramic: Bugs and bird droppings do not stick to the car as they did without ceramic!

    SS HP wax

Good advice from the above posts. One other thought: High pressure and high foam sealant products usually do not go together. Most products that provide a more significant foam are low pressure - or applied low pressure

    New member question on pricing

It’s not only distance, it’s also location. Are your customers likely to go to a competitor because they are on a more traveled road, in a more desirable neighborhood etc.? To say x amount of miles or minutes isn’t always accurate - especially in a denser populated location where people...

    Sale of equipment

I’ve seen people use e Bay and carwash consignment. If you know other local regional operators that you can reach out to, that could simplify shipping/transport and also eliminate the need to involve a third party in the transaction.

WTH is a water bandit dryer

No I do not. I would not imagine that promotional material for a component of this age is available, unless someone had left it in a desk drawer or file cabinet at the time and never cleaned it out. It is completely obsolete machinery.
